About Us
The Civic Trust's activities cover an immense range, including all aspects of urban and rural planning, development and conservation. To give this kind of coverage it is important to encourage active participation by its many members.
To achieve this the Trust is organized around a main council with a number of specialist sub groups which report directly in to the main council.

| New Works Committee | Considers Planning Applications for the urban area of Chester |
| Rural Panel | Considers Planning Applications for the rural area of Chester District |
| Urban Development Committee | Addresses strategic planning; urban design, transportation, conservation and site specific development briefs |
| Publicity Committee | Publicizes and promotes the interests and the activities of the Trust, and seeks new members |
| Events Committee | Plans and delivers a wide range of lectures, activities and visits for the benefit of members |
| Palace Group | Supports the administration and management of Bishop Lloyd's Palace |
